Parity client wins Student of the Year at itSMF Conference 2007

Training arm of IT services firm, Parity, trains Dinah Turner of DWP to top marks and national award at the itSMF Conference in Brighton

IT services firm, Parity, today announces that one of its students, Dinah Turner of DWP, has won the Student of the Year award at this year’s itSMF conference. The award, presented at the ceremony held in Brighton, is the only category where the winner is decided purely based on the examination results issued by the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB), rather than voted for. Ms Turner’s achievement is a clear example of Parity’s resource and training programmes ensuring success, as the Parity Training team coached and guided Ms Turner through the course syllabus and materials.

The highly acclaimed itSMF UK Service Management awards are presented each year to the top service management professionals and organisations in the UK. Student of the Year is awarded for the highest marks in the IT Service Management Manager’s Examination over the two papers Service Support and Service Delivery. The two papers require full depth of knowledge in IT Service Management, but also general management ability and experience. Previous winners of the award include employees from high profile organisations such as Barclays, DHL, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and Oxford University Press.

Parity Training specialises in educating and preparing its clients’ own staff in IT Service, Project and Programme management. The company offers flexible learning solutions that deliver benefits for organisations seeking performance improvement. Chris Littlewood, principal consultant of IT service management for Parity says of Dinah Turner’s accomplishment, “We are delighted that one of our very own delegates has won the itSMF Student of the Year award. To have the effectiveness of our training systems and our trainers themselves recognised in such a clear way to the industry is fantastic news. I would like to applaud all of our trainers associated with this achievement, but most of all, I must commend Ms Turner – congratulations Dinah!”

Ms Turner comments, “"I really enjoyed the training courses but most of all the chance to share knowledge and experiences not only with DWP colleagues but other Public & Private Sector employees, and I look forward now to building upon this qualification in practice.”
